Maggies Centre is the construction of a purpose built centre for anybody who has, or who has had cancer. They are also for their families, their friends and their carers and is one of many nationwide “Maggie’s Centres”.

 

The Mechanical and Electrical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over the duration of the 13 month construction period.

 

The Mechanical Services installation comprised installation of a gas fired LTHW heating system serving the ground floor underfloor heating system and the first floor trench heater units. Domestic hot water service is either provided by the wall mounted gas fired boiler or locally installed electric water heaters. Cold water is provided direct from the cold water main. A rainwater harvesting system has also been installed and this is used for irrigation purposes of both the external and internal garden areas. Mechanical ventilation has also been provided to the toilet areas and kitchen.

 

The electrical services installed consist of lighting, small power sockets and data sockets. Emergency luminaries and relevant signage, mains distribution, window controllers and a concealed containment system comprising of floor trunking connected to various floor outlet boxes. A fire alarm system has also been installed in all of the areas connected to a main fire alarm panel.

Construction of a Residential Infill development forming five in number residential flats and one in number Mews House over five floors.
 
The Mechanical and Electrical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 3 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installation comprise of the installation of a boosted mains cold water supply serving the flats via a break tank. Domestic hot water service is provided by the use of a direct unvented hot water cylinder located in each flat. Mechanical extract ventilation has been provided to the bathrooms and kitchens.
 
The electrical services installed consist of lighting, small power sockets and television and satellite systems. A landlords area fire alarm system has also been installed. Each flat has been installed with individual electricity metering and a video entry phone system.

 

 

Network Rail Training Centre:

Purpose built Training Facility for Network Rail in Paddock Wood, comprising of Training Classrooms, Office Accommodation, Café and a Practical Training shed containing signals, junction boxes, railways points and various track layouts.
 
The Mechanical and Electrical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 4 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installed comprise of an underfloor heating system to all areas (excluding the Practical Training area) served by two in number gas fired condensing boilers, hot water services, cold water main, Mechanical supply and extract ventilation to the toilet and changing areas, natural ventilation systems to the classrooms, office area and café/reception area. An automatic control system has been installed to control the mechanical services.
 
The electrical services installed consist of lighting, small power sockets and data sockets. Emergency luminaries and relevant signage, mains distribution, window controllers and a concealed containment system comprising of high level trunking and floor screed trunking connected to various floor outlet boxes. A fire alarm system has also been installed in all of the areas connected to a main fire alarm panel.

Refurbishment of the Ground, Fourth ans Sixth Floors office accommodation.
 
The Mechanical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 3 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installation comprises of a mechanical heat recovery ventilation on the ground floor providing fresh air to ceiling mounted air conditioning units. The air conditioning units supply air to the office via a number of ceiling mounted linear slot diffusers, extracted air is via ceiling mounted extract grilles.
 
The Fourth and Sixth Floors are supplied by a central roof mounted supply air handling units and a central extract unit serving the individual ceiling mounted air conditioning units. The external condensers serving the fourth and sixth floors have been installed on the roof.
 
The individual offices on the Ground and Fourth floors have been provided with wall mounted heat pump air conditioning units also connected to the central external condensers.

 

 

St. Thomas Hospital - Offices:

Upgrade and refurbishment of individual offices and toilets to provide office accommodation for the Chief Executives.
 
The Mechanical and Electrical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 2 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installation comprise of alterations to the existing domestic hot and cold water services and public health services to serve the new toilet facilities and the provision of a tea point and kitchenette. Modifications have been carried out to the LTHW heating system and new steel panel radiators have been installed complete with new thermostatic radiator valves.
 
The electrical services installed consist of lighting, small power sockets and data sockets, data containment. Emergency luminaries and relevant signage, mains distribution, and a containment system comprising of high level trunking and dado trunking connected to various outlet boxes. A fire alarm system has also been installed in all of the areas connected to a main fire alarm panel.

 

 

Epsom Methodist Church:

The works involved the renovation and upgrading of the existing Church facilities spread over three phases. These included the existing Church Hall, formation of new Childrens toilets and renovation and extension of the Worship area.
 
The Mechanical and Electrical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 5 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installed comprise a supply and extract mechanical ventilation system, new LTHW heating radiators connected to the existing pipework and alterations and adaptions to the existing public health and domestic hot and cold water services to suit the new kitchen layout. The kitchen comprises of a new sink, electric hot water heater, water boiler and cold water chiller unit.

 

 

1-2 Leathermarket Street:

Works include the conversion and refurbishment of a existing warehouse building into office accommodation over three floors and a mezzanine level.
 
The Mechanical services were installed by Gee-Bec Services over a 4 month period.
 
The Mechanical Services installation comprise of a LTHW gas fired heating system serving the radiators at all levels via a variable temperature heating circuit. Each radiator has been installed with a thermostatic radiator valve. A separate constant temperature heating circuit has been installed to serve the AHU and the indirect HWS cylinder. Domestic hot and cold water services have been installed to serve the toilets at each floor level and each office unit has been provided with a tea point and this is served by the CWM and HWS via an electric water heater. Mechanical supply and extract ventilation has been provided to the toilet areas
 
The entire mechanical services installation is controlled by a Trend BMS system.

The Mechanical Services installation comprise of the below detailed systems; The heating system is achieved through the use of both underfloor heating and radiators serving these systems are two large condensing boilers. The domestic cold water service is fed from the recently installed new cold water main. The domestic hot water service is fed from 2, 250 litre cylinders. A comfort cooling system has been installed throughout the property via the use of fan coil units. Mechanical extract ventilation has been provided to the cloakrooms, bathrooms and kitchens.
 
The electrical services installed consists of lighting, small power sockets, general power and mains distribution and finally an audio visual system being installed throughout the property. Electric underfloor heating has been installed to the bathrooms and toilets. A new fire and intruder alarm system was fitted to the property, a new door access control system was also installed.
